Hungarian Open Middle and Long Distance MTB-O Championships

and the 7^th and 8^th Race of the Slovakian Cup

The championships are organized to award the titles of the Hungarian Middle and Long Distance MTB-O Champions, to offer competitions of international niveau for both Hungarian and foreign bikers and to raise the popularity of the sport.

Location of Event Centre: The sports field of B�kszentkereszt (village)

The Event Centre can be reached via Miskolc – Lillaf�red – Holl�stet� – B�kkszentkereszt or via Eger – Fels�t�rk�ny – R�p�shuta – Holl�stet� – B�kkszentkereszt. There will be signs leading to the sports field in B�kkszentkereszt.

Type of competition: single-day individual races

1^st day: middle distance

2^nd day: long distance

Categories:    Championship categories: M and W 14, 18, 21, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55. On the long distance M/W 21B

                        Open

The organizers may unite categories in case there are not enough entrants in one category.

The entries shall include the following:

name, address and e-mail address of the club and

full name, year of birth, category (for each day), SI-card number of the competitor

All entries will be confirmed by the organizer via mail or e-mail within a few days. No entry is valid until it is confirmed!

Entry fees:

Entries received until the deadline (14^th September 2007): 1500 HUF / person / day

Except M and W 14 and Open: 1000 HUF / person / day

Late entries and entries on the day of the competitions: 2000 HUF / person / day

Except M and W 14: 1500 HUF / person / day

and Open: 1000 HUF / person / day

Entries on the day of the competition will only be accepted as long as there are vacant start times in the start list!

First start (planned):

Middle distance (22^nd September): 14:00 (2 p.m.)

Long distance (23^rd September): 09:00 (9 a.m.)

Punching system: The SI electronic punching system will be used. SI cards can be borrowed from the organizer for 200 HUF / card / day.

With the exception of the Open category, SI cards must be fastened to the bike!

Terrain: Mountain terrain with many roads and paths which can be ridden excellently even in rainy weather.

Both days the courses include some riding on the village streets where all the competitors are to take utmost care of the passers-by and the car traffic.

Prizes: The first three placed Hungarian competitors in each championship category receive the Hungarian Champion’s medals (gold, silver, bronze) if at least 4 Hungarian competitors are placed in the category.

Accommodation: You can book accommodation at B�kkszentkereszt Youth Camp in houses for 12 persons, price: HUF 1,760 per person per night (incl. tax: HUF 260 per person per night). Water facilities are in the central building.
Since the number of available places is limited, please send your
bookings to the entry address as soon as possible. In Pictures you can

            Reserving other accommodation shall be done by the competitors themselves. If they are unable to find accommodation the organizer will provide help (contact Zsuzsanna Debn�r via e-mail ↑ ).

Other:

• The competition is open for everyone, no club membership is required.
• Wearing helmet is mandatory.
• Further information including the start lists will be published after 17^th September 2007.
• All competitors enter the race on their own responsibility.
